Nidhoggrs Memoir: Note Section

Our world, the age of dragons and the first age of men, was certain our golden age. We, however, had monsters we could not even rule over. Stoorworm most famously, and Jormungandr was the most powerful of all. However, Jormungandr did not threaten dragons. His feud was with a sole Jotuun and kept to his home around the trees roots.
The Wyvern though was... A terrible creature, as large as the average dragon king and every bit as mean. It was a wild beast, though. It also clever, and always was smart to avoid groups of dragons. On the other hand, it would not think twice of attacking and devouring a lone one.
Like the Salamander, this creature was from the ancient world in the long forgotten time of Ginnugagap: the dark and primordial word before our own. It rose from the earth, and is thought to be the sibling of the Salamander. It was a king that ruled the sky, unmatched even by dragon. It soared the entire world in a day, searching for its next target in which no titan like me or the garuda were truly safe from.
Not long after I drove my brother from the Adamant Kingdom, the Wyvern made its nest often around the forbidden valley in which was mostly now flooded. Even when dragons went to face it and destroy it, almost none of them returned. Those that did told story of its great speed and its ferocity.
It terrorized the world for as long as our age lasted. When our time came to an end, I assume it either died as well or returned into the depths of the earth where it came from with other terrible monsters that survived, if any did. I am sure some survived into the new era. For all I know, the Wyvern may be one of them. If he too lives, then the planet will be terrorized again, and I hope fate is not as cruel as that...

------------------------------------------

Hm... ever drive home and take a different road then normal? From your usual road? For whatever reason... and you get on that road, and you get lost and feel things are going downhill. And then you realize "hey, this road is nice. I like this."
That's how this picture came out.

I had this urge to homage Rodan... cause I had no real Rodan homage. I guess Hera was close enough, but in time, Hera evolved into her own raging monster with her own species, and even a male exists.
DoM's universe keeps expanding too with more ideas. So I decided why not go ahead and make another Rodan-homaged creature? And ya know what, make it a badass! Like... A falcon to pigeons, with the dragons being the pigeons.
but the idea came with the idea of a pterondyctle surviving into the recent past, an terrorized the dragons cause it was THAT powerful. Why? Caus Rodan was THAT powerful. I remember seeing Rodan when I was younger and it made Rodan sound so badass. Kings of the land, sky and sea!
I'm digressing again...
Anyway I was trying to make a Ropen creature, just cause I could. I wanted to make a reptilian creature that looked like a dragon, but wasn't. Would have legs, a lizard head, horns, a long tail that ended in a rudder....
but then I couldn't do it... and then I decided on THIS. I threw my original design of just a big flying monster pterodactyl and made... a... demon wyvern pterodactyl.
...Nuff... Said. The monster obviously did not come out as I expected. It turned into this thing... And ya know, it works. Its bat-like, its reptile-like, monster-esk... I like it. And I threw in the Heraldic stuff too. I think I'll do a handful of Heraldic creatures. Chimeras, Basilisks, etc... all from the age of dinosaurs and beyond. Just cause its awesome.

But y'all give me your opinions on this guy, mkay? Please and thank you~
