Description

Stats
Name: Kawaimus
Height: 80 Meters
Length: 140 Meters
Means of Locomotion: Walking, running, etc
Alignment: Neutral

Abilities
-Demonic Strength: To begin with alone, Kawaimus looks like something unearthly. His strength comes to match this as for his size, Kawaimus has excelling physical power. This stems from the insect DNA, which was that of ants. Kawaimus is hands down one of the contenders for strongest kaiju on the planet. If he isn’t using his mighty arms to dig tunnels, then they are used for ripping and breaking.

-Four Armed Menace: Kawaimus has four arms and each are equally powerful. These arms obviously give him the advantage though in any sort of confrontation. Having four arms is better than two and it proves as most enemies find themselves unable to compensate the two extra limbs. The secondary pair is more or less used for extra leverage and balance, but they are equally as effective as the main.

-Thick Skin: The reptile DNA gives Kawaimus a hard, thick and scaly skin which protects him rather well. Scratches and light injuries are difficult to inflict, so ordinary military fire is virtually useless. Even when wounds are made, typical kaiju regeneration makes nearly all wounds pointless.

Weaknesses
-Scent Says All: Due to dominance of insect DNA in his overall genome, Kawaimus is exceptionally sensitive to pheromones and almost exclusively thrives on the smells around it. He can see, and he can hear, but at a lesser extent than that of a human. His antenna and nostrils are so highly in tuned with smell that it can work against him. Pheromones can be used to control him in any manner of the word. Riling or calming him down is the main goal, but pheromones can also be used to set a territorial boundary which Kawaimus will not cross unless forced too. Likewise, the use of smoke will also confuse him and even drive him away.

Personality
Kawaimus use to be calm, sweet and dependent on Victoria and others occasional cared for it. For many years it was a docile specimen, but that changed when Kawaimus entered a pupae-like stage and became an adult. Now Kawaimus had grown into a hyper aggressive kaiju who attacked anything perceived as a threat to itself, its territory, or to Victoria, which the creature continues to show an almost obsessive nature toward. This hyper aggressive nature seems to stem from insect DNA, as many nesting insects are incredibly hostile to any who intrude on their nests unless otherwise. Unless provoked in such a way, Kawaimus can be eerily calm while waiting just outside of its burrow like a threatening sentry on the far side of Darwin Island.

History
Kawaimus was one of Victoria's genetic creations which seemed innocent enough. She spliced the DNA of a human with ant, wasp, monitor lizard, and moth. The result was a child-sized human-looking creature that had tiny squinted eyes and a shy demeanor which could win over the coldest of hearts. It was round and pudgy, had size, adorably black eyes, and a fat tail that looked like geckos.
Naming it from the Japanese word for cute, they named it Kawaimus.
Such a tiny little pink thing became the lab pet of sorts. It grew very fond of Victoria, finding her to be a mother figure of sorts. It was a few months later when it could walk, and grown to the size of a cow. It got along with everyone, including the Chimeras. It became part of their little family in a way.

Years would pass and Kawaimus would keep growing, and eating, and still remained just as lovable as ever. It gotten bigger than most kaiju, even. Victoria and Adam found that Kawaimus was a creature that acted much like an insect. It could see and hear, but its main focus of finding its way around was by smell and vibration.
It ate all it could, mostly plants and prepared meats, and never made a fuss. It would just lay on its back and wave its four, pudgy pink arms and squeal like a happy child when excited, and cower when it felt it was in trouble.

Then came a day that something unexpected happen. Kawaimus shed its skin and became a pupae of sorts. This turn of events was surprising at first, but it made sense to Victoria. The use of insect DNA was the cause, which mean that Kawaimus was simply maturing into an adult.

It was a solid five months before the pupae began showing signs of opening. When it did, Kawaimus looked very different. That cute, pudgy little humanoid child creature turned into a hulking, muscular beast.

and it was not friendly.

The moment it saw the facility, Kawaimus unsuspectingly laid waste to it before starting to rip up the island. It brutally murdered any other creature in its path. This was not the same creature that everyone grew fond of. This was an adult, with instinct and needs.

It was this event that nearly killed Adam. He and Victoria were in the facility when the attack came out of nowhere. His body laid broken and torn. Victoria in her desperation did emergency DNA modification to save his life, but not before sending Dynamo on a search and destroy mission.
Kawaimus was beaten badly by the machine, plus the Chimeras. By the time it was all and done, Kawaimus was at the edge of death and didn't recover for weeks. By that time, Victoria had set up Pheramone barriers on part of the island to keep Kawaimus in a small territory, where he settled in nicely and contently stayed for years.

When Dour randomly appeared on the island, though, Kawaimus's pheromone barriers were sent on the fritz and sent him into a rage.  Kawaimus once again threatened the whole island. All the Chimaers fought him, Adam too, but were outmatched by the beastly strength of the creature.
It wasn't until Dynamo was launched did any change happen. Kawaimus remembered it and focused solely on it. Like before, the resulting battle damaged the entire island. The facility was smashed and the land was burning with molten rock.

As before, Kawaimus was beaten down until it was passed out and near death. While it was in its comatose state, many wanted it destroyed. Difficult as that was, it was decided to take the kaiju and drop it off in the new kaiju preserve in Antarctica.

Kawaimus did not need much space to thrive. When it was dropped off into the depths of the continent, it stayed there unless disturbed, contently hunting and digging to it hearts content. It has escaped before, though, and will most likely escape again. All precautions are being taken so that Kawaimus will stay in the wilds and far away from any other continent...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

and here is that other profile. Kawaimus is a kaiju I had in mind for ages and ages. I grown to like this kaiju. Its one I really worked on.
Saddens me to see him be the last post for Dawn of Monsters, though. Oh well. When I circle around again to my Kaijuverse, I promise that things will be much, much better.

do enjoy!

Really love the overall concept!  Come to think of it... you don't see too many that come in that anatomy style either.
